The Story
A skeleton holds his cards close, caught somewhere between the hand he was dealt and the move he is about to make.
Set within an 1890 coin-inspired composition, the image brings together two symbols that have always belonged at the same table: chance and mortality. You don't choose every card that comes your way. You only choose how to play it.
The hand you're dealt is chance. How you play it is yours.
What It Represents
Risk
Every meaningful choice carries uncertainty. The cards represent the willingness to make a move without knowing exactly how the game will end.
Fate
Some things are dealt to us before we ever get a say. The skeleton turns that uncertainty into memento mori — a reminder that no one controls every outcome.
Play Your Hand
You may not choose the cards, but you choose what you do with them. This piece is a reminder to play deliberately, take the risks that matter, and make something of the hand you've been given.
