In 1970, the Soviet Union issued a commemorative coin marking the 100th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin's birth. It was not a rare coin — millions were struck, distributed across the USSR, passed through hands in factories, markets, and apartments from Vladivostok to Leningrad. What made it significant was not its scarcity but its ubiquity: this was an object that an entire civilization held in common, a small metal disc that carried the weight of an ideology, an era, and a particular way of understanding history.

This ring is made from one of those coins. The Cyrillic inscription — «СТО ЛЕТ СО ДНЯ РОЖДЕНИЯ», one hundred years from the day of birth — wraps the band exactly as it appeared on the original coin.
