THE STORY

Interlaced knotwork became a defining feature of Insular and medieval decorative art, appearing in manuscripts, stone carving, metalwork, and ornament. Modern viewers often read its continuous lines as symbols of connection, continuity, and endurance, although no single ancient meaning can be assigned to every knot. This ring brings that visual language into a dense full-width braid, bordered above and below by Elder Futhark runes. No empty surface. No wasted space. Just pattern, contrast, and continuity.
