THE STORY
A Viking warrior stands aboard a dragon-prowed longship, axe raised as the ship cuts through restless water. Behind him, the sail is full and the voyage already underway — there is no shore left in the composition, only movement. The imagery captures the moment after a course has been chosen, when uncertainty is no longer a reason to remain still. The original Five Cents inscriptions remain around the scene.
